This online community is built by educators, for educators, to support each other in our efforts to create educational programming that helps people find their pathways to positively contributing to social or environmental change. Anyone engaging in educational offerings designed to fuel positive impact efforts might find a home here.
We have a particular focus on supporting people to embed systems understanding into their offerings with a view that, by understanding the systems around us, we are more likely to be able to find pathways to contribute our time and talent. Whether you’re teaching in classrooms, supporting education within an organization or company, or facilitating learning workshops, this is your space to connect and grow.
About Us
We are a group of global social impact educators who have found each other, over the last decade, and connected to share resources, ask questions, and learn. Through being connected to a wide group of peers, we can support each other’s needs as well as build our collective capacity to contribute to social impact.
This group was fueled, in part, by a series of social impact educator gatherings where educators got together to discuss their needs, offers, ideas, and questions. You can see key learnings from the 2018 gathering at Yale University on this site including a “gallery walk” of systems change education offerings from that time.
Our focus
The future of humanity, this planet, and of education require systems-aware, self-aware, and impact-focused educators who, in turn, support the development of those mindsets and skill-sets among their students and clients. By connecting and learning together we can not only fuel our own personal growth and capacities as educators, but also our individual and collective capacity to accelerate systems change contributions in a world in need of ethical, impact-focused, leaders.
Why Join
Resourced and connected educators with a social impact focus are needed more than ever. Complex times require educators who know how to teach in, and teach to, that complexity. Here is a chance to build those systems and complexity tools while also building a network of similarly-focused educators.
